My project was DT , named “Youth Perspective” and CEED in Expansion LC Khabarovsk. In my second day, I visited the school where will be my current school along 4 weeks. It was so nice to meet many smiley and friendly people, whether the teacher or the students.
Along 4 weeks, I had a different theme for every week, my first week become a ‘halo Indonesia’ week. In this time, I have a presentation to introduce Indonesia. Many of students don’t know where is Indonesia and never heard about it, some students know bali island but don’t know that Bali is located in Indonesia, and some of them know where is Indonesia. Well, that was my pleasure to introduce my beloved country, Indonesia. In the second week, the theme was intercultural activities. So, we had a discussion more about custom, music instrument, teenage, and education system in Indonesia. In the third weeks, I had halo to my Indonesian friend as the theme, because we had a plan to make a conference between Russian student and my friends in Indonesia.
Well, in this week, I show Indonesian dance, sing Indonesian song, had a presentation and discussion about sub-culture, and the way of manner in Indonesia. In the fourth week, I had a global village week. That was the time went the students show me a Russian fairytale, and they bring some Russian food to be introduced to me, of course I tried it all. And I brought some Indonesian food for them. Last but not least, many of students gave me a letter with a beautiful word and design. It’s so loveable.
About CEEDer, that was my time to develop my self more by developing another people. I met with many of great people, why? Because they are the pioneer of AIESEC in Khabarovsk. In my first week, I had a small meeting with the LCP (Dima) to make a plan about promo and new team for new term. It was also the time when there was an open recruitment for LCP, VP OGX, ICX, and TM. Two weeks after the small meeting, we had a conference where I took a part to share about AIESEC history. In that conference, some candidates for LCP, VP OGX, ICX, and TM have their speech in front of the member. And it was chosen the new LCP, she is Anna. Then the previous LCP, the LCP elected, and me interview the candidates of VP. It was so nice to involve in many activities with them, and then finally, they announced the new VP TM, ICX, OGX, and head mentor. Beside that, we have a promotion time, I did a presentation and discussion in schools, such as school number 3, 6, 32, 49, ‘opening’ , manhattan, Rovestnik, and ELC. And also discussion in universities such as Humanitarian University, Pacific state university, Far eastern academic of service, Economic and law, and … . I had also a great discussion in American corner office about “Stereotypes of Russia”. I also join in the social activities that concern in environment, invited by the major of Khabarovsk.
Yes, we spoke in TV for two times. wohoo!
Especially, I had a great birthday there. On 24th of January, when I had a breakfast, my host family congratulates me, say best wishes, and present gifts for me. And when I accompany my Russian friend in her university .. (to be continued)
